We are not responsible for, nor have any control over, the privacy policies of those third party websites, and encourage all users to read the privacy policies of each and every website visited.
2. DATA WE COLLECT
2.1 We sometimes collect your email address, for purposes such as sending self-publishing and confirmation emails, authenticating user accounts, providing subscription email services, registering for forums, etc.2.2 For paid job postings, we collect contact information, such as name(s), phone/fax number(s), and address for billing purposes.
We sometimes collect your phone number for account authentication purposes, and may transmit it to a third party service for tele-robotic verification.
2.4 We may collect personal information if you provide it in feedback or comments, post it on our classifieds or interactive forums, or if you contact us directly. Please do not post any personal information on campusleftovers forums or classifieds that you expect to keep private.

3. DATA WE STORE
3.1 All classified and forum postings are stored in our database, even after "deletion," and may be archived elsewhere.3.2 Any web logs and other records are stored indefinitely.
3.3 Registered job posters can access and update their account information through the account homepage.
3.4 Although we make good faith efforts to store the information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, we cannot guarantee complete security.

4.1 Search engines and other sites not affiliated with campusleftovers - including HYPERLINK "http://www.google.com" google and HYPERLINK "http://groups.yahoo.com" yahoo – may archive or otherwise make available any or all campusleftovers postings.
5. CIRCUMSTANCES IN WHICH YOUR INFORMATION MAY BE RELEASED
5.1 Campusleftovers may disclose information about its users if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process.5.2 Campusleftovers may also disclose information about its users to law enforcement officers or others, in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce our Terms of Use respond to claims that any posting or other content violates the rights of third-parties; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of campusleftovers, its users or the general public.

8. SIMPLE AND HELPFUL TIPS TO PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY
8.1 You can sidestep would-be scammers by following these common-sense rules: (A) Deal locally with people you can meet in person in a public place;(B) Never wire funds via a Western Union, Moneygram, or any other wire service;
(C) Fake cashier checks & money orders are common and Banks may cash them and then hold you responsible when the fake is discovered;
(D) Campusleftovers is not involved in any transaction, and does not handle payments, guarantee transactions, provide escrow services, or offer “buyer protection” or “seller certification”;
(E) Never give out financial information (bank account number, social security number, ebay/paypal info., etc.);
(F) Avoid deals involving shipping or escrow services and know that only a scammer will “guarantee” your transaction.
8.2 Generally speaking, the listings on this site must promote a fair and level playing field, and provide an enjoyable and safe experience for buyers.
(A) Except as noted in the specific policy as exceptions, sellers cannot:
(1) solicit buyers to mail cash or use other payment methods not specifically recommended by campusleftovers as accepted payment methods;
(2) communicate to buyers that they accept, or will not accept, specific forms of PayPal payment;
(3) include links that do not conform to campusleftovers terms of use policy;
(4) use certain types of HTML and JavaScript in item listings;
(5) include third-party endorsements of campusleftovers members;
(6) use profanity in a listing, unless otherwise permitted. 8.3 The overwhelming majority of campusleftovers users are trustworthy and well-intentioned. With potentially millions of interactions facilitated through campusleftovers, the incidence of crimes has be extremely low. Nevertheless, it’s very important to use common sense when completing transactions or interacting online.
(A) If meeting someone for the first time, please remember to:
- insist on a public meeting place like a café, library, or student center;
- tell a friend, roommate or family member where you’re going;
- take your cell phone along if you have one;
